Police arrest suspect in ATM explosion at Tacoma bank



TACOMA -- Deputies arrested one person in connection with a Tacoma area ATM explosion.

Investigators say an ATM was vandalized around 3:30 a.m. at the Wells Fargo bank at Pacific Avenue and South 53rd Street. People nearby heard a loud explosion.



Roads in the area were closed as they searched for the person responsible.

Right now, there is no word on how it was blown up or if any money was taken.

Investigators are looking into whether or not the suspect is responsible for other ATM incidents throughout the Puget Sound.
