Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in western Washington

LONGVIEW, Wash. — Authorities say a 27-year-old pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a car in western Washington state.

The Daily News reports Colton Lindberg of Toledo was struck on State Route 12 near Mossyrock early Tuesday morning.

Washington State Patrol says Lindberg was wearing dark clothing and standing in the roadway when the eastbound car hit him.

The car had three people inside. No charges have been issued.

Washington State Patrol says it was not clear if alcohol or drugs were involved.
