Sheriff: First triple homicide in Clallam County since 1970s

PORT ANGELES, Wash. -- Two people were found dead in the yard of a Port Angeles home after family members asked officers to do a welfare check. Officials later reported that a third body was found.

Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff's Office were called to the home on Bear Meadow Road at about 4 p.m. Monday.

Family members of the people who live there told police they hadn't heard from their relatives since Christmas and were concerned.

Sheriff Bill Benedict called the deaths suspicious and is investigating them as homicides. Investigators believe the killings happened on Dec. 26.

Deputies found two bodies in the yard, covered with a tarp and yard debris. Benedict said Tuesday that a woman's body was discovered in a locked shed. All of them had suffered gunshot wounds.

Benedict identified two of the victims as a father and son, Darrell Iverson, age 57, and, Jordan Iverson, age 27.  The third victim was identified by the sheriff's office Tuesday evening as 26-year-old Tiffany A. May.

Officials say May was Jordan's girlfriend and is believed to have been living at the home.

Authorities said they did not believe there was a public safety threat, and that they have persons of interest that they will be interviewing.

As of early Tuesday afternoon, investigators said they had received warrants to search the property and were beginning to process the scene.

The sheriff called this the first triple homicide in Clallam County since at least the 1970s.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office.
