Suspect found dead after woman killed in Covington, police say

COVINGTON, Wash. -- Authorities say a male suspect has been found dead in the same Covington  home where a woman's body was found earlier Thursday afternoon.

The King County Sheriff's Office says that police responded to the residence on 180th Avenue SE at about 2 p.m. for a reported shooting.  Police found a 30-year-old woman dead inside.

After evacuating the building and performing another search for the suspect, police say they found the body of a 32-year-old man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

King County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Ryan Abbot tells Q13 News that multiple people live in the home where the woman's body was found and they had to wait for a search warrant to continue searching the home.

Everyone else living at the home was removed and is safe, officials said.

Police say the identities of the deceased will be released at a later time.
