Renton Police arrest suspect in November shooting death of 21-year-old man

RENTON, Wash. – Police confirmed they have arrested a suspect in the death of 21-year-old Jason Hobbs Jr., who was beaten  and shot in the parking lot a Renton apartment complex on Nov. 30.   Police say they tracked the suspect to Bellevue where he was taken into custody at a  hospital parking lot.   The suspect’s identity is being withheld pending arraignment.

The King County Medical Examiner’s office told Q13 News that Hobbs died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Renton police originally believed at least two men were involved in his killing.  They say they are still investigating other possible suspects.

Police found Hobbs in the parking lot of a complex on the 900 block of Aberdeen Avenue Northeast just after 6:30 p.m. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him, but he died at the scene.

The suspect is expected to make his first appearance in court on Monday.
