The first freezing temperatures of the season are on their way this week

Good morning!

Lots of frost and freezing temperatures this morning as we head into some of the coldest temperatures of the season. Most of us dropped to right around the freezing mark today with a number of spots in the 20s.

We'll stay freezing--in fact--colder Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning, when far more locations drop into the 20s... including Seattle!

Today and the next several days stay dry, but chilly as an upper level ridge remains in place. Low level offshore flow actually helped to limit some of the fog this morning. By late week that ridge pushes off to the east opening up the door for a pair of fronts that will likely bring rain back to the forecast this weekend. Especially Sunday and Monday with snow and freezing rain possible in the mountains for the second half of the weekend as snow levels drop down to about 2,500'.

Tomorrow morning will be the coldest morning we've seen in months. While Seattle and many locations drop into the 20s, don't be surprised to see a few teens and more frosty road conditions.
