CAPTURED: Tip leads Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force to wanted child rapist



CAPTURED -- The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force and U.S. Marshals led Western District of Washington Fugitive Task Force took Jonah Palmerton into custody Friday in Bellingham based off a WMW viewer tip to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

He is WMW Capture #1030 thanks to tips from our viewers.

WANTED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY --
The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force and U.S. Marshals led Western District of Washington Fugitive Task Force are on the hunt for a convicted child rapist.  Jonah Palmerton has a warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender in Snohomish County as well as  Department of Corrections warrant.

He is a Level 1 sex offender who was convicted of Rape of a Child 2nd Degree.

The task forces think he could be hiding in Bellingham or another area of Whatcom County.

His last registered address was in Lake Stevens.

Palmerton is 20 years old, 5'9" and weighs 130 pounds.
