Seven horses killed in Kent barn fire

KENT, Wash. -- Seven horses were killed Monday morning when a barn caught fire in south King County.

Smoke was billowing out of a barn around 7:40 a.m. near 129th Avenue SE and SE 203rd in Kent.

According to Puget Sound Fire, no people were hurt but seven horses died.

Investigators at the scene are looking into what caused the fire at the 40 by 40 ft. barn.

Firefighters said they had to fight the fire defensively because of the danger that the building would collapse.
