Small 2.9 earthquake hits in Tacoma early Tuesday

TACOMA -- A small earthquake was recorded in Tacoma early Tuesday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports the 2.9 magnitude tremor hit at about 12:45 a.m. and was about 34 miles deep. The epicenter was just off SR-16 near the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

There are no reports of any damage.
