Martial arts teacher gets 5 years for child rape

SEATTLE (AP) — A judge has sentenced a suburban Seattle martial arts instructor to five years in prison for child rape involving a martial arts student. reports 44-year-old Robert Morrison who owned Lee’s Martial Arts in Renton was sentenced by King County Judge John Erlick Thursday.

Morrison pleaded guilty in August to three counts of child rape, one count of felony immoral communication with a minor and one count of misdemeanor immoral communication with a minor.

Prosecutors say the victim trained with Morrison starting at age 7 and that he began raping her after she turned 15.

Three more teenagers told police in 2016 that Morrison had sent them naked photos of himself on Snapchat.

Morrison apologized to the victims and his family.
