Seattle's new police chief: 'We're going to continue to write history'

SEATTLE -- Days after being sworn in as Seattle's new police chief, Carmen Best reflected on becoming the city's first female African-American to serve in the role.

Best, a 26-year veteran of the Seattle Police Department, was appointed by Mayor Jenny Durkan and unanimously approved by the Seattle City Council last week.

She joined Brandi Kruse on "Q13 News This Morning" for her first interview since being sworn in.
