2 Bellevue cops involved in crash while escorting oversized load on I-405

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Two police officers on motorcycles were escorting a portable structure Thursday morning when they crashed into each other, shutting down a busy Seattle area highway during rush hour.

The two Bellevue police officers suffered non-life threatening injuries from the collision on Interstate 405.

Authorities shut down all northbound lanes of the highway temporarily.

Investigators used a drone to map the scene before reopening I-405.
