Man found bleeding from a gunshot in SeaTac, sheriff's office says

SEATAC, Wash. -- A man was found shot in SeaTac Wednesday night and was rushed to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center with "extreme" life-threatening injuries, the King County Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting occurred in the 16700 block of 31st Avenue South.

"No suspect info at this time," the sheriff's office said.

Police say the 4th of July holiday could impact the investigation.

"They are trying to talk to a bunch of people and see if we have any leads at all. And that's what we're looking for at this time," said Sgt. Ryan Abbott. "Hoping that somebody saw something, or obviously with a lot of fireworks going on tonight, it's hard to distinguish the gunshots from the fireworks."

Police say the man, 23, was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex on 31st Ave. South in SeaTac.

King County sheriff's major crimes unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
