Missing 15-year-old Arlington girl found safe in Lake Stevens

ARLINGTON, Wash. -- The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office on Monday night said a missing 15-year-old girl, Lilly Potter, was found safe in Lake Stevens after a tip from someone who saw the "missing" post on social media.

The sheriff's office said Lilly was transported to a hospital for observation.

Lilly was last seen in the 28700 block of State Route 9 in Arlington at around midnight Sunday, the sheriff's office said.

Search and Rescue units searched for Lilly around noon Monday, but had no leads to her location, the sheriff's office said.

Fortunately, a tip came in -- and Lilly was found at a Lake Stevens transit center at about 8:30 p.m. Monday.
