CAPTURED: Suspects charged in vicious robbery and attack on woman in Ballard

CAPTURED --  May 14, 2018

King County Prosecutors have charged three of the five suspects accused in a vicious attack and robbery on a woman walking in Ballard earlier this year.  18-year-old Charles Kennal O’Neal, 18-year-old Lilith 'Lily' Jade Blacktongue and a third suspect who we are not identifying because she is a juvenile have been charged with Robbery in the Second Degree.

According to official court documents, O’Neal stood in front of the victim on January 16th and said, “Hey, b****” before punching her in the face with a closed fist.  Police say Blacktongue and the other suspects surrounded the woman to keep her from escaping, pushed her to the ground and pulled her backpack and jacket from her along with her cell phone, credit cards and cancer medication.

Officers say the juvenile female smeared cheese cake all over the victim’s face and hair.  Detectives say she had stolen the cheesecake from the nearby Safeway at 1423 NW Market Street.   Surveillance video showed all five suspects entering and leaving the grocery store.  According to the court documents, Washington's Most Wanted viewer tips to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound identified O'Neal, Blacktongue and the juvenile female. The other two men have not been identified.   When interviewed, police say all three suspects confessed to the robbery.

Blacktongue was arrested on April 2nd and is being held on $60,000 bail. O’Neal was arrested on May 2nd after he was spotted getting off a bus in the 11600 block of Des Moines Memorial Drive South.  Seattle Police Robbery Unit detectives worked with the King County Sheriff's Office and Sammamish Police and believe O'Neal is responsible for as many as nine additional robberies.   Prosecutors are still considering charges in those cases.  He is being held on $100,000 bail.

O'Neal and Blacktongue are scheduled to appear in court for their arraignment on May 21st.    They are WMW Captures #986, #987 and #988 thanks to tips from our viewers.
