A search was underway for the gunman, who is believed to have fled the scene in a car.

The shooting occurred in the the area of 108th Avenue SE and SE 240th Street, police said.

The wounded victim and the person struck by a car were both taken to the hospital for treatment. The identity of the person killed was not released.

The circumstances of the shooting weren’t clear. Police would only say that officers were initially responding to a “disturbance” in the area when the shooting occurred.

But no other details were immediately released.
