Police shoot, kill 35-year-old man in Snohomish County
EVERETT, Wash. -- An investigation is underway into a deadly shooting that involved a Snohomish County Sheriff's deputy.
According to the sheriff's office, a Lake Stevens woman called 911 around 9:30 p.m. Sunday to report her husband was suicidal and wanted police to kill him.
Deputies found the 35-year-old man about an hour later under the US 2 trestle on Ebey Island. When deputies tried to talk to the man, he came out with what appeared to be a weapon. The deputies opened fire, killing the man.
The responding deputies were not injured and there was no danger to the public.
A gun was recovered from the scene.
All three deputies involved have been placed on administrative leave which is standard procedure.
