Driver dies when car plunges over embankment

SEQUIM, Wash. — Authorities say one person who was driving a vehicle when it went over an embankment near Sequim, Washington, has died.

The Peninsula Daily News reports the incident happened Monday on Lost Mountain Road.

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office says the driver was partially ejected from the vehicle.

Authorities say firefighters attempted CPR but the driver died at the scene.
