Reward raised to $15,000 for arrest, conviction of animal abusers who threw dog out of SUV to her death
ISLAND COUNTY, Wash. – Pasado's Safe Haven and the WAIF Animal Shelter have raised the reward to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects who threw a pit bull out of a moving SUV on Monday, March 6th.
A witness called to report that they’d been driving behind the SUV when it slowed down, a rear passenger door opened and the dog was thrown out of the door.
The SUV then swerved toward the dog and clipped, and another passing car hit it again.
The dog was taken to the Pet Emergency Center in Mt. Vernon but was so badly injured that it had to be euthanized.
The SUV was a white, or cream-colored 4-door SUV, possibly an early '90's Ford Explorer, or Nissan Pathfinder. It was heading south from Sharpes Corner on Highway 20.
