Man killed in Parkland shooting; suspect in custody

PARKLAND, Wash. -- Officials are investigating a fatal shooting in Parkland.

The shooting early Thursday left one person dead. The Pierce County Sheriff's office is investigating the shooting as a homicide.

Officials say they have a suspect in custody.

Detectives are investigating whether the two men knew each other.

State Route 7 near 126th Street was blocked due to the investigation.
