BOTHELL, Wash. – One man is dead, and police are searching for the gunman who killed him Friday evening in Bothell.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says the deadly shooting happened on 198th Place Southeast, a dead-end road.

Communications Director Shari Ireton said a 36-year-old man was found shot outside of a residence. Attempts to revive the victim were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

She said that a call came into 911 that a suspicious vehicle was parked in the neighborhood just before 3 p.m.  A few minutes later, a second call came into 911 that a man had been shot.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and investigating the scene. A suspect has yet to be identified, Ireton said.
