No. 6 UW Huskies to play No. 9 Colorado in Pac-12 championship game

No. 6 Washington Huskies will face off against No. 9 Colorado Buffaloes in the Pac-12 championship game on Friday. The matchup of newcomers kicks off inside Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. at 6 p.m. You can watch the game on Q13 FOX.

The Huskies seized the Pac-12 North's title game after Friday's 45-17 win over No. 23 Washington State in the Apple Cup. The Buffaloes clinched their opportunity on Saturday with a 27-22 win over the No. 21 Utah Utes.

Colorado entered the weekend as the Pac-12 top-ranked defense with Washington second.

A win for the Huskies may be enough to get them in the four-team College Football Playoff that will settle the national championship, reports ESPN Seattle.

If Washington wins the Pac-12 title game but isn’t included in the CFP, it will compete in the Rose Bowl for the first time since 2001. A loss would almost certainly keep the Huskies out of both the CFP and Rose Bowl.

The Huskies and Buffaloes haven’t played each other since 2014.
