SEATTLE -- A hit-and-run driver was injured after striking an estimated 17 vehicles during the Friday morning commute in downtown Seattle.

Washington State Patrol troopers were called around 9 a.m. to the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 for the report of a multi-vehicle hit-and-run near Yesler Way.

The driver who troopers say caused the crash was found further down the freeway. Troopers said the car was disabled and medics were treating the driver.

The unidentified driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.

Authorities said nobody in any of the 17 cars that were hit suffered any injuries.
