Christine Michael lands job with Packers, day after Seahawks waived him

SEATTLE - That didn’t take long.

A day after the Seattle Seahawks waived him, running back Christian Michael was reportedly claimed by the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers were hungry for a running back, with injuries to both James Stark and Eddie Lacy.

The news was first reported by the NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Michael had 469 yards on 117 carries with six touchdowns this season, but with Thomas Rawls expected to return next Sunday and the emergence of C.J. Prosise last Sunday, the Seahawks decided to cut ties.

The Seahawks play the Packers on Dec. 11.

Michael was the team’s second-round pick in 2013, but they traded him to Dallas two years later. The Cowboys waived him after five games, and he found his way to the Redskins – who released him after a month.
