PORT ANGELES, Wash. — A landslide caused a boulder to fall onto the highway just west of Port Angeles.

According to WSDOT, the downed boulder partially blocked US 101 near milepost 230 shortly after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Transportation officials said traffic was getting by in one lane, alternating directions. Crews were on their way to assess the damage and work to clear the highway.
