Belichick's answer to questions about letter to Trump: 'Seattle'

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick had a one-word answer to questions about his letter to Donald Trump.

That word was "Seattle."

Belichick gave a brief statement about his letter to Trump during a press conference

“Our friendship goes back many years, and I think anybody that’s spent more than five minutes with me knows I’m not a political person,” Belichick said. “My comments are not politically motivated – friendship and loyalty to Donald.”

Belichick said he writes “hundreds of letters and notes every month.”

A reporter asked if Belichick was “happy or annoyed” that Trump read the letter.

Belichick’s response: “Seattle.”

The Patriots, of course, play host to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

As the reporter continued to follow up, Belichick interjected with “Seattle” four more times.

“We’ve got a huge football game this week against a great football team, great organization,” Belichick said.
