BAYTOWN, Texas — Police arrested the boyfriend of a missing 16-year-old girl after investigators found the bodies of her mother and sister, authorities said.

The Baytown Police Department said Jesse Dobbs, 21, was arrested Tuesday night near Texas City, Texas.

An Amber Alert is still active for Dobbs’ girlfriend, Kristen Fritch, according to KIAH.

Officers made the grisly discovery around 11 a.m. Tuesday while performing a welfare check at the family home. When officers arrived at the residence, police said they found the bodies of Fritch’s 37-year-old mother, Cynthia Morris, and her 13-year-old sister, Breanna Pavilicek.

Both victims suffered at least one gunshot wound, investigators said. A preliminary investigation revealed Morris’ daughter Kristin Fritch and the mother’s car were missing.

Authorities later found the car with Dobbs.
