Thurston county marijuana zoning regulations

Thurston county is holding a public hearing November 8th to help determine whether the temporary marijuana zoning rules should stay in place until permanent ones are approved.

Marijuana is legal state-wide, but zoning regulations determine where pot-related businesses can operate.  Thurston county has temporary zoning regulations in place, which expire on November 10th unless the county commissioners vote "yes" on a six-month extension.

A public hearing is being held at the Thurston County Courthouse on November 8th, at 3:00.  If you would like to comment, but cannot attend the meeting, you have until 2:00 on November 8th to take a written statement to the Thurston County Resource Stewardship Department, or email it to Associate Planner Kraig Chalem.  The address to do that is chalemk@co.thurston.wa.us
