‘Minor explosion’ in RV in Lakewood sends 3 to Harborview with burns

LAKEWOOD, Wash.  — Authorities say three people suffered burns in an explosion in Lakewood Wednesday night.

West Pierce Fire  told Q13 News the explosion occurred in an RV in the 15200 block of Fern Street SW in Lakewood. The battalion chief said it was a very minor explosion — “they just had some trouble lighting the stove.”

Lakewood Police also tweeted out, “Nothing suspicious” in the explosion .

West Pierce Fire said on Twitter that three people were taken to Harborview Medical Center with burns. A hospital spokeswoman said all three were in satisfactory condition
