Hope you enjoyed Friday's warmth; a few bands of rain to hit Saturday

SEATTLE -- A new record high temperature was set at Sea-Tac of 67 degrees Friday. The old record was 62 set back in 1962.

Seattle is  just 0.02 of an inch of rain from the “wettest October ever”. That will likely happen Saturday.

We’re mostly clear Friday evening and tonight the clouds will return overnight. There’s already rain off the Oregon coast heading our way. I think it will arrive around 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the South Sound, mid-morning for Seattle and near noon for Bellingham.

SATURDAY: A few bands of rain move through during the day. High temps more seasonal than Friday, about 55-60 degrees. A bit breezy on the coast, but below advisory criteria.

SUNDAY: It looks like the rain will hold off until the afternoon. Highs only in the mid 50s.

Halloween: Showers look likely, though the latest model runs do seem to give us a brief break in the evening. Highs in the mid 50s, but trick or treat time will be around 50.

THE REST OF THE WEEK: Tuesday is looking dry. Wednesday we look to see another “atmospheric river” pouring rain into Western Washington from the afternoon through Thursday in the overnight hours. Probably only the Skokomish River in Mason County will flood with this rain. Thursday during the day a few showers, until another round of rain looks likely late Thursday into Friday. That timing is based on the latest forecast models and those can easily shift the timing of the rain by 6-12 hours in either direction since it’s so far out.
