SWAT called to Allentown home after shooting near Tukwila Community Center

TUKWILA, Wash. -- SWAT teams searched a home in the Allentown neighborhood Monday after a man was discovered near the Tukwila Community Center suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.

According to Tukwila police, a friend of the victim discovered the man collapsed in the street about 11:20 a.m.

SWAT was called to the home soon after. Police entered the house shortly before 2:30 p.m. using flash bangs and a robot but didn’t find anyone inside.

The victim’s stepson says he was at school when he found out what was happening.

“My stepdad was shot in the mouth right outside our driveway,” said Justice Watson. “It’s surprising. I never thought it would be at my house, but it happens.”

42nd Ave S and S 124th St were closed while police searched for the suspect.
