VIDEO: Watch as strong winds blow down large tree in Ocean Shores

OCEAN SHORES, Wash. -- A windstorm bearing remnants of a Pacific typhoon is reaching the Seattle area after leaving a swath of downed trees and power lines in Oregon and southwest Washington.

The National Weather Service said gusts around Seattle would probably top out at about 50 mph, weaker than initially feared, but still strong enough to do some damage.

Bonnie Ulakovich took this video of a large tree snapping and crashing to the ground in Ocean Shores. She said her dad moved his truck out of the driveway in the nick of time.

The Washington Department of Transportation said trees also came down on Interstate 5 near Olympia, blocking the right lane.

Q13 News' Jamie Tompkins said road crews cleared the interstate in just about 10 minutes.
