Our weather is going to get pretty nasty later this week

SEATTLE – Enjoy the sun while you can. It’s about to get nasty around here.

A major rain and wind storm is expected to hit Western Washington on Thursday and continue through Saturday, Q13 News meteorologist Walter Kelley said Monday.

The heaviest rains are expected to hit late Thursday night and Saturday morning, Kelley said, but Thursday-Saturday it will be wet and gusty. Temperatures will mostly be in the lower 40s in the Seattle metro area, but could dip into the 30s in outlying areas.

Kelley said snow is expected above 5,500 feet in the mountains, but the passes shouldn’t be affected.
