Community remembers Shayla Martin

LA CONNER, Wash. -- A chaotic scene of flashing lights, law enforcement, and frantic people fleeing a small town in Skagit County after a gunman opened fire at Burlington's Cascade Mall killing five people, nearly two weeks ago.

Since then, the area is uniting, refusing to let one man`s actions destroy the heart of their community.

On Saturday, in an elementary school gym, they gathered once again.

This time to celebrate the life of one of the shooting victims, Shayla Martin, the 52-year-old who worked at Macy`s for decades and it`s the same people she loved and served who honored her today.
