Explosion rocks hair salon in South Seattle

SEATTLE – Crews were sent to Rainier Ave. on Thursday morning after reports of an explosion.

Nobody was hurt during the incident at 4417 Rainier Ave. S., which happened at around 10:30 a.m.

At least one window at Major Styles Beauty Salon was blown out.

Fire crews said a man was cooking on the second floor of the mixed-use building, and left the property with the stove on.

It exploded while he was gone.
