2-3 inches of snow fell on White Pass today

WHITE PASS, Wash. – Don’t look now, but there’s snow in the mountains.

A day after Crystal Mountain reported its first snowfall of the season, workers at White Pass posted pictures on social media of what they said appeared to be about 2.75 inch of snowfall on Wednesday.

The pictures showed a fresh layer of powder on the top of Couloir Express.

Q13 News meteorologist Walter Kelley said this is about the time of year when snow is expected at higher elevations.

There’s no expected impact on the mountain pass highways in the immediate future.
