Mukilteo police say there's 'no credible threat' from creepy clowns

MUKILTEO, Wash. – Mukilteo police said Wednesday that despite a number of threats there this week, there is no evidence that anybody is in any danger from clowns.

Police said people identifying themselves as “Oswald the Clown” and other names have made nonspecific threats against Mukilteo schools, sparking rumors among students.

After looking into the reports, police said, they found no evidence of a credible threat.

“Threats made to our schools of any kind are taken extremely seriously and are thoroughly investigated by our police department,” interim chief Cheol Kang said. “It is always my highest priority to protect our students and to ensure that they have a safe learning environment.”
