21-year-old woman struck by train in Centralia

CENTRALIA, Wash. -- A 21-year-old woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after being struck by a train.

Centralia Fire says the woman was hit about 12:30 p.m. Sunday 300 yards north of Sixth Street viaduct.

She is listed in serious condition.

Rail traffic in both directions has been stopped, including cargo and Amtrak trains. Traffic is expected to be released late Sunday afternoon.
