Patient Lotto player wins $1 million after someone cut in front of him in line

Patience is a virtue.

One lucky New Zealand man, who wished to remain anonymous, watched as an impatient customer cut the line in front of him.

“I was waiting in line at the Lotto shop and a customer nipped in front of me,” the Lotto winner said in a statement released by Lotto New Zealand. “I wasn’t in any hurry, so I just let them go ahead and didn’t say anything. I guess good karma pays off.”

The patient Kiwi man won $1 million on the ticket purchased at the Pak N Save Papamoa, according to the New Zealand Herald.

The winner and his wife plan to buy a house with their winnings.
