Woman in 50s dies after 4-vehicle crash in Renton, Fire Department says

RENTON, Wash. -- A woman in her 50s died and four other people received minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash in Renton Wednesday afternoon, the Renton Fire Department said.

First responders were called out at about 3:16 to the accident at S. Grady Way and Shattuck Avenue S.

The Fire Department said four cars were involved, and crews found four patients with minor injuries  and a woman in her 50s who was in cardiac arrest.  Attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful, a spokesman said.

Police said both directions of South Grady Way near Renton Village would be closed for hours for the investigation.
