Marysville man found guilty of murdering Lynnwood music teacher

MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — A Snohomish County jury has found a Marysville man guilty of second-degree murder in the strangulation death of a music teacher.

The Daily Herald reports (https://goo.gl/bJH4AT) jurors deliberated nearly two days in the case against 23-year-old Christopher Garcia Gonzalez before convicting him Monday.

Gonzalez admitted he was the last person to see Christopher Davis alive in September 2015.

Davis advertised for a "hot male housekeeper" earlier that month. Jurors were told that he and Garcia Gonzalez engaged in some type of relationship.

Davis' body was found in his Lynnwood townhouse three weeks later. He had likely been dead about a week.

Based on text messages, detectives suspect the two men had some sort of falling out, with Davis accusing Garcia Gonzalez of using him for money and marijuana, before Davis' death.
