Man arrested after transient found dead by the road in Parkland

PARKLAND, Wash. – Pierce County sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect after a homeless man was found murdered by the side of the road in Parkland on Thursday morning.

The body was found near 107th and Pacific Ave. Deputies said the victim was a 41-year-old local transient.

A suspect was arrested a short time later near a Taco Bell in the area.

Investigators are still working to determine a cause of death.
