Hoquiam pastor accused of molesting two girls, deputies say

HOQUIAM, Wash. -- Police on Wednesday arrested a Hoquiam pastor accused of molesting two children -- one of the cases dating back almost 15 years.

Authorities said Adair Krack, 67, was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail for investigation of child molestation 1st degree and child molestation 2nd degree.

According to the Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office:

Deputies were first contacted on Aug. 19 by the Washington County Sheriff's Office in Oregon. Investigators received a report that a 12-year-old girl from Oregon had been touched inappropriately by Krack at his home last summer.

Krack is a pastor at First Baptist Church of Hoquiam.

The girl and her two younger sisters had attended a week-long vacation bible school but stayed at Krack's home. Deputies said Krack had known the family since 2002 when he was an assistant pastor at a church in Oregon. Krack would often babysit the oldest daughter while her mother was at work.

The 12-year-old told investigators that the molestation had been going on for several years.

Deputies interviewed the victim's sisters. The two younger sisters did not say they had been molested. But an older sister, now 20 years old and living in another state, alleged that Krack had also molested her when she was a young child.

Krack has posted bail and been released from jail, authorities said.
