Russell Wilson remains in game after injuring ankle on sack

SEATTLE – The scariest imaginable scenario happened in the third quarter Sunday.

Russell Wilson left the game after apparently injury his ankle following a sack from Ndamukong Suh during the third quarter of the Seattle Seahawks’ game against the Miami Dolphins.

Wilson was noticeably limping after the hit, and was soon examined on the bench of the sideline before heading to the training table.

Backup quarterback Trevone Boykin immediately began warming up on the sideline.

There was no word on the extent of Wilson’s injury, but he came back in with tape on both ankles during the next series.

Even after he returned, however, Wilson looked like the ankle was slowing him down.

Wilson headed immediately back to the trainer after the ensuing series.
