WANTED IN KING COUNTY

Deanna Powell has a $1 million dollar warrant for her arrest after she was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Federal Way.

Powell was convicted in August of a hit-and-run that happened last December and sentenced to a year and one day behind bars. The court had released her on other charges she was facing and has not shown up to serve the sentence in this case.

Powell was driving an Isuzu Rodeo on S. 312th St. and Pacific Highway S. in Federal Way when she made a left turn, causing the collision with the victim's Toyota.

"The victim suffered significant damage to her leg. She had to have surgeries on her leg to repair it. It was broken in multiple places,” says King County Sgt. Cindi West. “Our suspect in the case, she not only didn't stick around for the accident but she didn't provide aid for the person that she hit like she should have, driver's license, registration, any of that. She just fled the scene.”

Just hours before the crash, Powell had bonded out of the Pierce County Jail for a drug charge.
