Ferry crews find body near Bremerton dock

BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — The body of a man in his late 50s was recovered from Sinclair Inlet near the Bremerton waterfront.

The Kitsap Sun reports that Washington State Ferries crew members on the Seattle to Bremerton ferry saw the body at about 11 a.m. Sunday.

The crew recovered the body before docking in Bremerton.

Workers on the ferry transported the body to first responders waiting at the ferry terminal.

Police described the deceased individual as a male from East Bremerton who was in his late 50s. No further information was available, pending an autopsy by the Kitsap County Coroner's Office.

Police say the family of the deceased man was notified Sunday.
