Woman hit by car, seriously hurt in West Seattle

SEATTLE — A woman was seriously hurt when she was hit by a car Monday morning in West Seattle.

Seattle police were called around 11 a.m. to the scene of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.

Police said the woman suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Traffic collision detectives were called to the scene to investigate.

Officers temporarily closed a portion of the 4500 block of 42nd Ave. SW for the investigation. No further details have been released.
