**Embargo: Phoenix** "It's hard to believe that somebody would do that to you," Ashley Castro said.

Phoenix, AZ (KPHO) — A young Oregon couple who got married just a couple of months ago recently stopped in Phoenix to visit old friends before heading to Florida to start their new lives together.

They stayed the night, and woke up to a cruel surprise.

Their pickup truck, which was packed with almost everything they own, was stolen while they slept.

Ashley Castro says it’s a huge shock.

“It’s hard to believe that somebody would do that to you,” she said.

Their truck was parked in a lot at an apartment complex just off East Baseline Road near 32nd Street in Phoenix.

“You’re just passing through the town, staying one night — wake up and everything is gone,” Castro said.

The couple called the police and then searched the area but they found no sign of their truck.

Luckily they still have another car with them so they are not stranded. Most of their cherished items like family photos are in that car.

The Castros have insurance but, of course, they would love to get the truck back.

“There is a reason for everything,” Castro said. “We’re trying to figure out what that reason is.”

Their truck is an older Ford F-250 V10. It’s a two-door black pickup truck.
