Michael Phelps claims his 20th gold medal

RIO – Michael Phelps of the United States won the gold medal in the men’s 200-meter butterfly swimming event at the Rio Olympics on Tuesday.

Masato Sakai of Japan won the silver medal and Tamas Kenderesi of Hungary took bronze.

It is Phelps’ 20th gold medal and avenges his loss in his signature event to Chad le Clos of South Africa in London in 2012.
