SEATTLE – A missing 9-year-old who disappeared Monday was found safe on a metro bus in Marysville.

The boy disappeared from his home in the 13000 block of Midvale Avenue North in the Bitter Lake neighborhood at around 1:30 p.m.

His mother told Q13 News on Monday evening that her son stole her wallet after a fight and left the house. He was caught on camera using it at a drugstore Monday afternoon.

The mother told Q13 News late Monday that the boy was found safe. The boy tried to take a bus to his father’s house but got on it going the wrong way, she said. He was upset, but unharmed.

The mother was on his way to pick him up at 11 p.m.

“He’s never, never done anything like this,” she said.
